NURSE MIDWIFE
A
registered nurse midwife is a person who has undergone training,
passed the prescribed basic nursing midwifery examination, and
has qualified with a degree/diploma from a recognized institution,
and is authorized by the Maldivian Nursing Council to practice
nursing and midwifery. The registered nurse midwife is individually
accountable and responsible for provision of nursing and midwifery
and for delegated decisions.

by the Maldives Nursing Council to practice nursing. The registered
nurse is individually accountable and responsible for the
provision of nursing and for delegation decisions.
ENROLLED
NURSE MIDWIFE
An
enrolled nurse midwife is a person with appropriate educational
preparation and experience, who is enrolled and licensed by
the Maldives Nursing Council to practice nursing and midwifery
under the supervision of a registered nurse midwife/registered
nurse. The enrolled nurse midwife is individually responsible
for assigned functions and accountable to the registered nurse
midwife/registered nurse for delegated actions.
